New Haven Food Policy Council annual gathering is Feb. 22

The New Haven Food Policy Council annual gathering will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 22 at Hill Regional Career High School on Legion Avenue.
 
Ina release, organizers said, "Join us in our call to action to effect and improve food policy for the City of New Haven."
 
"Breakout sessions will be held covering Urban Ag, Food Assistance, School Food, Food Business Development and Cooking and Food Education," the release said.
 
The event is free and will have free child care and a potluck style lunch, the release said, and contributions of a salad or bread are welcome.

Also in the release: the Food Policy Council meets at City Hall at 8 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month, and meetings are open to the public.
