LEAP, Junior League to give prom dresses away

NEW HAVEN - LEAP (Leadership, Education and Athletics in Partnership) and The Junior League of Greater New Haven will hold a free prom dress give-away for New Haven high school students from 3 to 7 p.m. April 10 at the Roslyn Milstein Meyer LEAP Community Center.
The two organizations collaborated over the last several weeks to solicit donations from private donors, according to a statement.
There are about 100 dresses from which the high school students will be able to choose. Personal shoppers will be on hand that day to assist the students as they look for the perfect dress, the statement said.

Anyone interested to pick out a dress that day should contact Kedrick Robinson at LEAP to schedule an appointment, at 203-773-0770 or krobinson@leapforkids.org.
Drop-ins that day are welcome, but registration is encouraged to ensure space is available.

Organizers gave a special thanks to the Princess and the Prom organization for its major dress contribution.
