Four Women of Egypt Screens May 25 at New Haven Public Library

Coming up at Main Library:
May 11, 6-7pm--Caregivers Bootcamp with Atty. Julia Merkt. Information for new and prospective caregivers for the disabled or elderly.


Cinema at 6 launches on Wednesday, May 25, at New Haven Public Library, 133 Elm St., with "Four women of Egypt", a 1997 film directed by Tahani Rached. This story of how four Egyptian women with very different backgrounds and belief systems come together to argue, explore, and laugh together is "more than a film; it is an event, a public conversation." (Al Jadid Magazine).  A discussion will follow the screening, which starts at 6 pm. 

This event is presented in collaboration with Yale's Council on Middle East Studies. There is no charge, and free parking is available. More information at 203-946-7431.
