Disaster Preparedness: are you ready?


NEW HAVEN - Join Martin Torresquintero, outdoor adventure coordinator for the New Haven Parks Recreation & Trees at the New Haven Public Library Fair Haven branch at 6 p.m. Oct. 10 and find out.

“Fire, earthquake, Hurricanes, flooding, winter storms, extreme cold, industrial accidents, they all may occur in our area,” the release said. “Learn the basics of how to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.”

Learn about emergency and survival kits, local emergency management programs, FEMA and American Red Cross guidelines, and more.

The event is free. The Fair Haven Public Library is at 182 Grand Ave.
