Gaelic Football Sunday in New Haven

EAST HAVEN - Kellan Etter, grandson of Jim McGuinness, one of the founding members of the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club, and some of his Boston College classmates are coming to the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club on Sunday (September 15) to participate in a 7-aside tournament, organizers said.
The event will be held 1 to 6 p.m. at 9 Venice Place
There also are teams coming up from Fairfield and New Haven, organizers said.
“New Haven has a long history of Gaelic football, but it has been a few years since they have organized an adult team. Many of the players who played 10-15 years ago are back playing, alongside some of the younger players who have come up through the ranks of the Youth Football program,” organizers said in a statement.
