Serious about play

Kendra Frederic, front, and Janice Baker, Child Life workers at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital, wheel in carts of toys delivered by Rabbi Yossi Hodakov, director of Chabad of Westville, who is accompanied by his daughter, Devora, 9. The toys were donated by "Toys for Hospitalized Children," under the auspices of the New York Based National Committee for Furtherance of Jewish Education. The local group delivered 148 toys, games, puzzles and dolls for the sick children at the hospital.
"Think about it. What does child feel like, knowing that his or her family and friends are having fun outdoors, running around at the playground or beach while he or she is stuck in a hospital room?," Hodakov said in explaining the motivation for the summer toy donation.
