NEW HAVEN - The New Haven Free Public Library "continues its film exploration of proposals for economic prosperity" at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 26.
"A 'trade up' proposition is delivered by Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall and Betty Hutton, who stake their landlord’s furniture on figuring out" “How To Marry a Millionaire,” the release said.
"This classic 1953 adventure uses the comic skills of a very talented cast to follow a 'sensible' blueprint for economic success—with surprising results."
The movie begins at 2:30 p.m. at the Ives Main Library, 133 Elm St.
The guarantee is that viewers will get "a lot more pleasure than watching national budget discussions," the release said. and that is "for a very affordable price: free."
