Vigil in New Haven to mark anniversary of nuclear reactor disaster in Japan

NEW HAVEN - A vigil in remembrance of the first anniversary of the Fukushima Daishi nuclear reactor disaster in Japan will be held by the Greater New Haven Peace Council from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday at 59 Elm St., organizers said.

The emphasis will be on "the dangers inherent in the use of nuclear power and weapons," organizers said in a statement.
