In New Haven. concert for Newtown


NEW HAVEN – The Neighborhood Music School will host a Concert for Newtown at the school at 100 Audubon St., Thursday, at 8:15 p.m., with all proceeds going toward the Sandy Hook School Support Fund.
Local New Haven area musicians are donating their time and talent in response to the Dec. 14 tragedy at the Sandy Hook Elementary School.
The Greater New Haven community is invited to the concert, which will feature a wide range of music by performers that includes Dr. Caterwaul's Cadre of Clairvoyant Claptraps, The Fiddleheads, Goodnight Blue Moon, The Jambones, José Oyola, the New Haven Chamber Klezmer Trio, Shawn Persinger is Prester John and The Sophistimacationers.
There is a suggested minimum donation is $10. All donations will go directly to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund, administered through the United Way of Western Connecticut. Community members who would like to donate but cannot attend the concert can do so athttps://newtown.uwwesternct.org/.
