St. Andrew the Apostle Society to honor two Nrew Haven residents, planning annual festa

NEW HAVEN - The St. Andrew the Apostle Society is beginning to prepare for its Annual Italian Festa in honor of St. Andrew the Apostle, the patron saint of Amalfi, Italy, according to a release.
 
The event is the only Italian festival held in historic Wooster Square, the release said.
 
The Society will kick off its 114th with a dinner to be held on May 18 at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven.  Tickets are is $45 (includes open bar). Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres begin at noon.  At 1 p.m. a full course dinner of Surf & Turf will be served followed by desserts and coffee.  
 
The event will be followed by the Italian Feast, which runs June 26- June 29.  The feast is held at the club grounds in Wooster Square, 515 Chapel St.  
 
The St. Andrew Apostle Society annually recognizes two of its members in appreciation of their outstanding service and dedication to the Society, their Italian heritage and to the greater New Haven Community, the release said.  This year the Society is very happy to be honoring Paul Amore and Grace (Minichino) Carrano. both shown, the release said
