McReading
The following is a press release:
McDonald’s of New Haven Invites the Community to Help Raise Money for Hill Central Music Academy from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 12, at 280 Kimberly Ave. Students of Hill Central Music Academy will have the chance to see their principal, administrators, and teachers work side-by-side with McDonald’s crews. School staff will help greet customers, work registers, and assist in the kitchen area. Students, families, and other community members are invited to dine at the restaurant while Principal Glen Worthy and his teachers take orders and flip burgers. At the end of the evening, the school will receive a portion of the sales. The school is using this special fundraiser to help rally students as part of their "Read A Lot" initiative, which aims to help students excel on the March 2008 Connecticut Mastery Tests. McDonald’s across Connecticut and Western Massachusetts hold these McEducator Nights to support their local schools and communities.
