NEW HAVEN – Bella Vista Senior Community, a residential community since 1972, will hold an open house and special activities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 25 onsite at Bella Vista, 339 Eastern St.
Tours of the facility, including a model apartment, will be conducted, according to a statement.
Related festivities will include a free barbeque lunch, free health screenings and information, and an antique car rally featuring Bella Vista Hot Rod Club (weather permitting). Additionally, representatives from the Fair Haven branch of the New Haven Library will staff a library table, and there will be free gifts, raffles for gift cards and more. The event will be held outside, and moved inside if it rains, the statement said.
The open house is designed to welcome new prospective residents and their families, so they can experience the comforts and benefits of living at Bella Vista. The Bella Vista community is designed for carefree, secure, and active senior living, the statement said.
Its 1,412 apartments located in five buildings are comfortable and affordable, with a wide range of amenities. Bella Vista also features a restaurant, community rooms, recreation areas, community gardens, picnic areas and walking paths. Additionally, stores and services – including health services provided by Fair Haven Community Health Center at Bella Vista – are located on the premises to accommodate resident needs. Recreational and social activities occur on a regular basis and include off-site excursions to area sights and attractions, the statement said.
“We’ve created a quality, affordable, safe living experience for our residents, with a wide range of onsite amenities and services to meet their needs,” William R. Johnson, Jr., executive director of Operations for Bella Vista said, also in the statement. “We’re proud of our community, and its long history of service to this region’s senior and special-needs populations. This open house is an opportunity to showcase residential life for future residents and their families, and to continue to give back to our existing residents.”
Bella Vista is conveniently located just a short commute from downtown New Haven and its popular Green, prominent hospitals, the Yale campus, shopping, dozens of restaurants, theaters, galleries and museums, and movie houses.
