NEW HAVEN — On Saturday, (June 18) the Upper State Street Farm Market is celebrating strawberries.
Market vendors will feature fresh strawberries or a prepared strawberry food during the 10 a.m.-2 p.m. market at 1010 State St., between Lawrence and Edwards.
The market will celebrate seasonal fruits during the market season: July 16, tomatoes; Aug. 20, blueberries; Sept. 17, apples; Oct. 22, pumpkins.
Other offerings at the market are: coffee, fruits and vegetables, organic greens, fresh bread and local cheeses, hormone-free meat, kettle corn, baked goods, flowers. There will be tune-ups by the GoatvilleCyclesmith.
The market is organized by a volunteer committee of neighbors, and coordinated by the Upper State Street Association.
The market is open Saturdays through Oct. 29.
