New Haven law firm holds 'Christmas in July' toy drive. Find out why.
NEW HAVEN — The law firm of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante is sponsoring a “Christmas in July” Toy Drive benefit the New Haven Ronald McDonald House, according to a statement.
The drive runs through Aug. 1 and donations can be dropped off at the offices of Lynch, Traub, Keefe and Errante at 52 Trumbull St.
According to it website, Ronald McDonald House offers a place to stay for families of very ill children receiving care in area hospitals,
The New Haven house is the only Ronald McDonald House in Connecticut, the statement said.
“At Christmastime, the House receives many generous donations of toys and games for the children, but by summer, many of these gifts are broken or have pieces missing. In an effort to fill the void, Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante is proud to sponsor ‘Christmas in July’ so that children who stay at the Ronald McDonald House will have access to toys year round, which will hopefully provide them with some comfort while they are away from their own homes,” the statement said.
While all donations are appreciated, Ronald McDonald House suggestion list includes: Xbox Kinect games, Wii games (E-rated), toddler toys, toys for children ages 10 to 13, craft and scrapbooking kits, puzzle books, coloring books, crayons, markers, and educational learning toys for infants, (English and Spanish). Donations of money also are appreciated.
