New Haven church to show appreciation for help to build school
NEW HAVEN — Varick Memorial AME Zion Church and Pastor Rev. Eldren D. Morrison will show appreciation to agencies and people helping its effort to build a school, during a church service at 11:30 a.m. Sunday NOV 11 at 246 Dixwell Ave.
Appreciation will be shown to The Greater New Haven Community Foundation, The Graustein Memorial Fund, and John Strand, an educational consultant, for supporting the capacity building and planning grant to support the launch of The Booker T. Washington Academy, organizers said. Academy board members also will be honored for their support and work.
