Celebration of the life of former New Haven city librarian to be held

The family, friends and colleagues of James Welbourne, former city librarian for the New Haven Free Public Library (2000- 10) will gather to celebrate his life and legacy from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Courtland Seymour Wilson Branch Library, 303 Washington Ave.

The public is invited to attend. Anyone wishing to share personal thoughts, memories or stories about Jim is welcome to do so at that time, publicly, privately or in writing. Anyone who would like to add thoughts to a memorial booklet that will be available at the celebration as a remembrance keepsake, may e-mail to kathienhct@gmail.com by Sept. 25.
