The New Haven Rotary Club is cleaning up the beach at Lighthouse Point Park on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and is asking for volunteers to join them!
They will meet by the lighthouse on the right side, cleaning between the lighthouse and the boat ramp. Rotary provides the gloves and the garbage bags.
This is an International Coastal Clean-up, working with Save the Sound and the Connecticut Fund for the Environment, which means they log all the trash they pick up. "After Irene we could use all the help we can get!
