BRANFORD — The third annual Connecticut Hospice Race ‘Round Faulkner’s Island Regatta in Branford Harbor Sept. 24.
A parade of sails can be seen from Hospice grounds at 100 Double Beach Road at 11 a.m. as two dozen boats unfurl their sails. The race begins at noon. Racers may call Eric Treu at 203-483-9262 for further information. For information on watching the parade, call Pat Corradino at Hospice, 203-315-7510. Both events are free.
The Regatta Committee will hold a lobster bake will be held noon-3 p.m. Oct. 1 on Hospice shorefront grounds. Chowder, clams, lobster will be served. There will be entertainment, dancing, model boat races, and a silent auction. Regatta winners will be recognized.
Tickets to the lobster bake can be obtained from Corradino for $40. Proceeds benefit patient and family needs.
