Fort Nathan Hale Restoration Projects, Inc. winter lecture series kicks off with talk on Abraham Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation

The Fort Nathan Hale Restoration Projects, Inc. will act as host for a series of winter lectures and the first will feature Richard Allen Gerber, professor of history at Southern Connecticut State University.
The lecture will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 18 at the New Haven Public Library, 133 Elm St.
Gerber has frequently offered courses in Civil War and Reconstruction and similar topics, the organization said in a statement. The lecture will be on Abraham Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation.
There is no charge for admission and free parking is available at the Yale parking lot located near the corner of Temple and Elm streets, the statement said.
