NEW HAVEN - The Police Department will hold a recruitment informational session from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 11 in room N100A at Gateway Community College, 20 Church Street, according to a release.

"The purpose of the session is to provide information to potential candidates for the next NHPD Academy class, scheduled to begin" Oct. 24, the release said.

"Those that attend will be provided with valuable information on the recruitment process and how they may prepare themselves."

Those who attend can arrive at any time during the four hour long session, the release said.

The session is the first of 10 planned sessions, at dates that "will be provided as soon as possible and with greater advanced notice," the release said.
The formal application process is being scheduled and most likely will be held in late March or early April, the release said.
