Volunteers needed to tutor schoolkids in Greater New Haven


NEW HAVEN — Experience Corps needs volunteers age 55 and over to tutor children at Quinnipiac and Strong Elementary schools in reading and literacy four or five mornings a week.
Volunteers also participate in community events and training programs throughout the year.
A small AmeriCorps stipend and tuition help for a child/grandchild are provided.
A high school diploma or GED, fingerprinting and literacy screening are required for volunteers.Training is provided.
